Hey You! Yeah you, the one hustling to do it all!
Your body says…
STOP THE HUSTLE
And start paying attention to signs!
I’ve been taught my whole life to work hard with determination and drive. I’ve learned from the best; immigrant parents who came to the United States to live the American Dream.
Along with all the hustle, I’ve also played hard.
However, one thing I haven’t learned is to listen closely to my body. I’ve worked through sickness and pain, and I’ve done the same when playing sports and working out.
But my body was talking to me as I was hustling to teach, learn about business, build an online business, work out, play sports, and party with friends.
So I repeat! STOP the hustle!
Stop the go-go-go mentality and take care of the precious body you are given. No pain, no gain is not something to live by. And an apple a day keeps the doctor away…Well, it might work for you as it did for me until the day my body started talking and I didn’t listen.
Check-in with yourself. How are you doing mentally? Physically? With your relationships? In life?
As a strong person, both mentally and physically, I thought I was invincible. I was sure that I'd live to see a 100. Yet, in 2019 when my body stopped menstruating, I ignored what was happening and thought I must be entering pre-menopause or skipped straight to menopause.
Because you see, I didn’t want to go to the doctor, I was healthy and strong. Why would I stop the hustle? I had no time to go visit a doctor.
So, what happened? Something completely unexpected and truly surreal, but the fact that I'm writing this means that I can see, that I'm living & fighting like I know how…with true determination and drive to live until I'm 100!
If you want to learn more about my journey, tune in as in this resting and healing time I get an opportunity to share and tell more about my journey from 2019 through today…02.22.2022!
And what about you? Have you been hustling your whole life like I have to be involved in everything or did you make a smart decision to give yourself grace and rest? Let me know in the comments!
¡Adíos! Agur! Bye!
