When I started teaching in 1999, I decided then I would teach in the classroom till the day I was tempted by something else. In 2015, my mind started to wander when I saw what people were teaching and creating online.

Has this happened to you?

If so, I want you to think about your life and what you really want out of it. Are you wanting to change careers or take leave to figure it out? Now, most people don’t think about designing their life or their business to work best with the life they want to live.

What happens is many people get training and get an entry-level job or start a business thinking it’s normal to work all the time.

The empowering fact is life doesn’t have to be this way. You don’t have to settle. You can change your life any time you want. In fact, from right now moving forward.

Time for reflection. Do take the time to answer the following questions by journaling or talking them out into your audio app on your phone. This exercise will give you some data on what you’ve been thinking about and what direction you’re headed.

Here are the 12 journaling questions for you to reflect on.

  • What Do You Most Want to Achieve in the World?
  • What Do You Want to Be Remembered For?
  • What Excites You?
  • What Do You Love Most?
  • What Do You Dislike?
  • What Do You Know You Do Not Want?
  • How Much Time Do You Have?
  • How Much Free Time Do You Need?
  • Who Do You Wish to Spend Your Time With?
  • What Do You Like Doing for Fun?
  • What Do You Like Spending Money on Without Guilt?
  • What Does Your Ideal Life Look Like in Five Years?

Answering these questions is just the start.

The answers will give you insight into the goals to set for your life and your career choice. By reflecting and creating goals, you’ll be able to build a life and a business choice that fits with your life.

“Far and away the best prize that life offers is the chance to work hard at work worth doing.” — Theodore Roosevelt
